Hi @321ajj,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP DeskJet 2722e All-in-One Printer is printing misaligned, with text or images printing to the left of the paper, you'll need to perform an alignment process to correct this. Here's how you can re-align your printer:

Step 1: Check Printer Settings

Verify Paper Size and Type:

  • Make sure that the paper size selected in the print settings matches the actual paper loaded in the printer (e.g., A4, Letter).
  • Check the paper type setting as well, and ensure it matches the type of paper you are using (e.g., plain, photo).

Check Print Margins:

  • In your print settings, make sure the margins are set correctly. If margins are set too narrow, the printer might print off-center.

Step 2: Align the Printer from the HP Smart App

  1. Open HP Smart App:
    • Download and open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device if you haven't already.
  2. Go to Printer Settings:
    • Click on your printer name or icon to access the settings.
  3. Select Printer Maintenance:
    • Navigate to Tools or Printer Settings > Printer Maintenance.
  4. Align Printhead:
    • Select the option to Align Printhead or Align Printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to print an alignment page.
    • Place the alignment page on the scanner glass as directed, and click Scan in the app. The printer will align itself based on the scanned page.

Step 3: Align the Printer from the Printer's Control Panel

  1. Print an Alignment Page:
    • Load plain paper into the input tray.
    • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Cancel button (X) and the Copy button (two pages icon) simultaneously for 3 seconds.
    • An alignment page will print.
  2. Scan the Alignment Page:
    • Place the alignment page face down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the indicated corner.
    • Close the scanner lid.
    • Press the Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color button to scan the alignment page.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
