I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 that has brand spanking new ink in it of both black and colors. The ink is showing up on the printer screen and there are no errors. I keep trying to print to it in color and the PC is giving me the option for color but its coming out black and white. Grayscale is off and i had to edit my "ColorPrinting" in regedit and still no luck. I am at my wits end and of course HP support is useless because im out of warranty. At this point im just ready to move on from HP, but this printer usually works perfect aside from this. Any tips?

Hi @Johae20 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It can be frustrating when your printer isn't behaving as expected. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Printer Settings:
- Ensure that your printer settings on your computer explicitly specify color printing.
- Double-check that the grayscale option is turned off.
Printer Driver:
- Update your printer driver to the latest version. You can usually find the latest drivers on the HP website.
- Uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, and then install the updated driver.
Printer Software:
- Make sure that the printer software on your computer is up to date. Sometimes, software glitches can cause printing issues.
Test Page:
- Print a test page directly from the printer. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the communication between the computer and the printer.
Color Cartridge Check:
- Verify that the color ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Some printers will default to black and white printing if they detect an issue with the color cartridges.
Clean Printheads:
- Many printers have an option to clean printheads. This can be done through the printer software or directly on the printer's control panel. Cleaning printheads may resolve issues with color printing.
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the ink levels for the color cartridges are sufficient. Some printers may refuse to print in color if the ink levels are too low.
Paper Type Settings:
- Check the paper type settings on both the printer and the computer. Some printers may default to black and white if they detect certain paper types.
Reset Printer:
- Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
Print from Another Device:
- Try printing a color document from another device to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is specific to your computer.
Check System Color Settings:
- Ensure that your computer's color settings are not set to monochrome or grayscale.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
