HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

 

I have an Officetjet 3830 printer that we bought in the USA, and have now moved to the UK. I have purchased new cartridges (302) for my printer, but get a compatibility error on the printer. As my printer is out of warranty - but has never given me trouble otherwise - I am being asked to spend money to speak to an agent to enable my fully functional printer to work with suppsedly fully compatible cartridges, which does not seem reasonable. May I please obtain assistance in this matter? I understand I must get a region change code.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HP Support Community! 

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.  

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

May I please have assistance with this issue? The HP cartridges that I purchased clearly state that they can work with my HP Officejet 3830, but I get a compatibility error message on my printer nonetheless.
