I have had a problem now for 2 days where everytiem I send to the printer from my Mac an error message comes up and says corrupt file and will not print?
I cannot see any issue within the mac
Any advice?

Hi! @Andofire, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I understand when you give a command to print from the mac you are getting corrupt file error on your MAC PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Are you able to make a copy of your printer?
Have you tried printing from a different application or different file? Does the issue persist?
As you mentioned when you give a command to print from the mac you are getting corrupt file error on your MAC PC.
Please try few steps recommended below.
Check the Print dialog box
An exclamation mark in front of the printer’s name warns of trouble.
After a failed print attempt, press Command-P again. You’ll likely see a badge icon, such as an exclamation mark, next to the printer’s name in the Print dialog box. You may also see a message appear, explaining the cause of the failure and how to fix it.
If you don’t see your print job in the printer’s queue, you may have printed to a different printer. Check the queue windows for other printers, or try printing again, making sure you choose the correct printer.
To check the print queue for other printers, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners. Select a printer in the list, then click Open Print Queue.
Try to print from another app
Try printing from another app, such as TextEdit. If the problem occurs only in one app, review that app’s documentation for further troubleshooting information.
Check for printer software updates
These days, updating printer software is typically handled via OS X’s Software Update. Select Apple menu > Software Update.
Delete and re-add the printer
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences and select Print & Scan. From the list on the left, select your printer. Click the minus-sign (-) button at the bottom of the list. This removes the printer from the print list.
Now click the plus-sign (+) button and add the printer as AirPrint.
Also, if the issue still persists after trying out the steps try resetting mac printing system.
• Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
• Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
• Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
• Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
• Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
• Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
• Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
• Click the “Add button” (+).
• Click “Print Using...” or “Use”, and then select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot print job stuck in the print queue.
Also, as you mentioned you are unable to reset your printer back to factory defaults.
Try updating the printer firmware and check if it helps.
Link to update the printer firmware.
After updating the printer firmware try performing a semi-full reset on your printer.
Since the steps to perform semi-full reset is confidential, I will send you the steps in a private message.

I have followed these instructions up to resetting the firmware. I clicked on the link and got a download that didn't seem to work. I continue to get the same printer message with yellow triangle and exclamation mark with "Unable to print. File is corrupt". If can print directly from a word for mac document or excel for mac spreadsheet. But I get the error message from screen shots or other pdf files coming off the internet. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

It's a compatibility problem with HP and the MAC preview app. HP really needs to fix this. To get around the issue I downloaded the Free adobe acrobat reader app. When I have a printing problem, I save a preview of what I'm trying to print. Then I open my saved preview in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print from there. Works every time. And yes, I will save a .pdf print preview of my powerpoint slides and then print the pdf of them from the Adobe Reader App. It's tedious and annoying, but it works.
The other thing you can do is save the PDF to a USB, plug the USB into your printer, and print from the USB. But printing from a USB WILL NOT let you double sided print, which defeats the purpose of this massive printer.

Couldn't agree more. How about HP updates software or whatever it takes for this to run of MAC preview app like it used to. I'm sick of my design team and myself spending WAY to much time trying to resolve and/or work around this major hurdle.
