Office Jet Pro 8030 printer. We stopped using instant ink months ago. Non-HP cartridges worked fine. Now we get a message that one or more cartridges are damaged. We replaced those cartridges with identical non-HP cartridges and we get an error message that the printer blocked the cartridges because they have a non HP chip. How can we get the printer to stop blocking non-HP cartridges?

If you did not have automatic updates turned off, then likely the firmware has auto-updated and is now blocking 3rd party cartridges. Check with the vendor of your 3rd party cartridges as they often have troubleshooting or firmware you can backdate with.
