Does anyone know why my printer is printing stuff out like this? It was working just fine a day ago but all of a sudden mid print job it slowed down and half of the papers came out like this. I tried to fix it but it just keeps doing the same? What can I do to fix this ?It is a HP ENVY 4516

Hi @Adriana101,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're describing with your HP ENVY 4516 printer sounds like a problem with print quality, possibly caused by a variety of issues. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check Ink or Toner Levels
- Ensure that your printer has sufficient ink or toner. Low levels can affect print quality or cause incomplete prints.
- Check the ink or toner cartridges and replace any that are low or empty.
2. Print Head Alignment
- Use your printer's software or control panel to align the print heads. This can often improve print quality and ensure that colors and text align correctly on the page.
3. Clean Print Heads
- Print heads can get clogged, especially if the printer hasn't been used for a while or if there's low ink. Use your printer's software to initiate a print head cleaning cycle.
4. Check Paper Quality and Settings
- Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper recommended for your printer. Improper paper settings can cause paper jams or affect print quality.
- Check if the paper is loaded correctly in the tray and that there are no jams or obstructions.
5. Restart Printer
- Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 1-2 minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and clear temporary issues.
6. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model (ENVY 4516), and download the latest drivers and software for your operating system.
7. Run Print Quality Diagnostic
- Most printers have a print quality diagnostic tool that can help identify and fix issues. Use this tool to print a diagnostic page and look for any abnormalities or errors.
8. Reset Printer
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to their factory defaults. Note that this will erase any custom settings you have configured.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
