Hi @Jesús_Alvizo ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 All-in-One Printer is stuck on the startup screen with a black screen, white lines, and a full loading bar, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables.
- Wait for at least 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back into the wall outlet directly (avoid power strips).
- Turn the printer back on.
2. Check for Screen or Power Issues
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected and not damaged.
- If possible, try a different power outlet.
- Observe if the issue persists or if there are changes in the display.
3. Enter Diagnostic Mode
- Turn the printer off.
- Press and hold the Power button and Cancel button (or a similar button combination specific to your printer model) simultaneously.
- Release the buttons when the printer powers on.
- If the printer enters diagnostic mode, follow the on-screen instructions or perform a firmware recovery.
4. Update or Reinstall Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- If the printer is recognized on your computer, update its firmware:
- Download the latest firmware for HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 from the HP website.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the firmware.
5. Perform a Semi-Full Reset
- Access the Support Menu:
- With the printer off, press and hold specific key combinations (like Power + Cancel) to access the support menu.
- Look for an option to reset the printer.
- Be aware this may reset your printer to factory settings and require you to set it up again.
6. Test Without Network or Connection
- Disconnect the printer from your network:
- If connected via WiFi, disable your router temporarily.
- If connected via Ethernet, unplug the cable.
- Restart the printer and check if it initializes correctly.
7. Check for Hardware Faults
- If the above steps fail, the issue might be hardware-related (e.g., a corrupted display panel or internal component failure).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
