HP Recommended

I acquired an officejet 6500a plus printer. It is used but in very good shape as far as i can tell. I can find single color ink cartridges yhat are very costly, only online. No one seems to have the pack of colors together that saves money. Is this printer dicontinued? Should i just move on rather than pay a total of $100 to get all the ink i need?

HP Recommended

Don't invest in new ink if the printer has been unused for a long period.
