@MikeEALWafu, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Alignment Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your printer does not print the alignment page after changing the cartridges and selecting to align, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Check the Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Sometimes, improper installation can lead to problems with alignment.

Use Unused Plain White Paper: Make sure you have loaded unused, plain white paper into the input tray. Colored paper or previously used paper can cause the alignment process to fail.

Clean the Printhead: If the alignment page appears to be only partially printed, or if it has light or white streaks, try cleaning the printhead. Follow the printer’s manual for instructions on cleaning the printhead.

Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn on the printer. This can sometimes clear errors and allow the alignment process to proceed.

Check for Defective Sensor or Cartridge: If the alignment process fails repeatedly, you might have a defective sensor or ink cartridge. Contact HP support for further assistance.

Ensure Proper Connection and Power Supply: Make sure the printer is connected firmly to a functioning alternating current (AC) power outlet and that the power cord and other cables are properly connected to the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
