I bought a new HP Deskjet 2855e. The printer will cut off the last part of the document. This happens whether I print a document from the computer or copy using the scanner.

Hi @Ethan599,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2855e is cutting off the last part of documents when printing or copying, it’s usually related to page size settings, margin configuration, or printer firmware alignment rather than a hardware fault.
Steps to Fix Cut-Off Printing
1. Check Paper Size Settings
- On your PC:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
- Ensure Paper Size matches the actual paper (e.g., A4 or Letter).
- In Word or your app:
- Go to Page Setup and confirm margins are not too narrow.
2. Disable “Fit to Page” or Scaling
- In the print dialog, make sure Fit to Page or Scale to Fit is disabled.
- Set scaling to 100%.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Go to HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer | HP® Support.
- Download and install the latest firmware for the DeskJet 2800 series.
4. Run Alignment and Calibration
- On the printer:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- This ensures the printer uses the full printable area.
5. Try HP App
- Download HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
- Print the same document from the app to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
