My printer HP DeskJet 4152e will not print no matter what I do. I have reset the printer, cleaned the printerheads/cartridges, changed the cartridges, and am at a complete loss, have used this twice before without issue.

Hi @Tasha112383
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It can be frustrating when your HP DeskJet 4152e won't print, especially after trying basic troubleshooting like resetting the printer, cleaning the printheads, and changing the cartridges. Here are some additional steps you can take to resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Status and Connection
Verify the Printer is Online:
- Make sure the printer is powered on.
- Ensure that there is no error message or blinking light on the printer’s control panel.
- Check that the printer is connected properly (via USB or Wi-Fi). If you’re using Wi-Fi, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
For Wi-Fi Printers:
- Go to the printer's control panel and print a network configuration page to confirm that it's connected to the network.
- Check your router’s settings to make sure it's not blocking the printer or disconnecting from the network.
2. Check for Print Queue Issues
Sometimes, jobs get stuck in the print queue, causing the printer to stop printing.
Clear the Print Queue:
- On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4152e printer and select See what's printing.
- If there are any documents in the print queue, cancel or delete them.
Restart the Print Spooler Service:
- Open Run by pressing Windows key + R, then type services.msc and press Enter.
- Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
- Right-click on it and select Restart.
3. Check Printer Settings and Defaults
Make Sure Printer is Set as Default:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4152e and select Set as default printer.
- Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure you're selecting the correct printer when printing from your application.
- Check the print settings in the print dialog box (e.g., paper size, orientation) to make sure they match your printer's capabilities.
4. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues.
To Update the Printer Driver:
- Go to Device Manager (press Windows key + X and select Device Manager).
- Expand the Printers section, find HP DeskJet 4152e, right-click it, and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software and let Windows search for a newer driver.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the printer driver by right-clicking on the printer in Devices and Printers and selecting Remove device.
- Download and install the latest driver for your HP DeskJet 4152e from the HP Support website.
- Follow the installation instructions and try printing again.
5. Perform Printer Self-Test
A self-test can help identify if there are any hardware issues with the printer.
- On the printer's control panel, find the option to print a self-test page or diagnostic page. This can usually be done through the settings or tools menu on the printer's display.
- If the self-test page prints successfully, the issue is likely related to your computer or its software. If it doesn’t print, it might indicate a hardware issue with the printer.
6. Check for Firmware Updates
Printer manufacturers often release firmware updates that can fix bugs or improve compatibility with new software.
To check for firmware updates:
- Visit the HP DeskJet 4152e support page.
- Look for any available firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions to update the printer.
Take care and have a good day.
