Product: HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer

My DeskJet 4152e printer won't print properly. We replaced the cartridges about 3 months ago but the copies started showing lines through/across the page. We tried cleaning and aligning the printheads but the images/characters are very faint. I also tried to manually clean the cartridges. The ink level indicates about half full. Also, we don't print very often or very much.
