Hi @Nimishathilak ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Ink Tank Wireless 416 Printer is not printing yellow ink, here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
1. Verify Ink Levels
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure the yellow ink tank is filled to the appropriate level. Low ink levels may prevent proper printing.
- Replenish Ink: If the yellow ink is low or empty, refill it using genuine HP ink.
2. Perform a Nozzle Check
- Access Printer Maintenance: Use the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app to access maintenance settings.
- Print a Test Page: Print a nozzle check or test page to see if yellow ink is printing. Look for gaps or missing lines in the yellow section.
3. Clean the Printhead
- Initiate Cleaning: From the printer settings (via the control panel or HP Smart app), perform a printhead cleaning cycle.
- Repeat if Necessary: You might need to perform the cleaning cycle 2-3 times to unclog any dried ink in the yellow nozzles.
4. Manually Clean the Printhead
- Prepare Supplies: Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water or printhead-cleaning solution.
- Remove the Printhead: If your printer allows, carefully remove the printhead.
- Clean the Nozzles: Gently wipe the nozzles of the yellow section to remove dried ink.
- Dry and Reinstall: Let the printhead dry completely before reinstalling it.
5. Check for Air in the Ink Tube
- If air bubbles are in the yellow ink tube, perform a priming process:
- Open the printer cover and inspect the yellow ink tube.
- Use the printer’s ink priming feature (if available) or consult the manual for guidance.
6. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Download Updates: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed by visiting the HP Support website and downloading updates specific to your printer model.
7. Run an Alignment
- Use the printer's control panel or HP Smart app to align the printhead. Misaligned printheads can cause issues with one color not printing properly.
8. Replace the Printhead
If the yellow ink still doesn’t print after cleaning and priming, the printhead might be damaged.
