Hi @Nocatee1
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP printer not recognizing the inks, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Could you please elaborate in detail?
Do you get any error message.
are you using HP genuine inks?
Below are some steps you can try to resolve it:
1. Check the Cartridge for Issues
- Remove and Reinstall the Cartridge:
- Check the Cartridge Contacts: Clean both the cartridge contacts and the printer’s contact area with a soft, lint-free cloth (moistened with water if needed, but make sure it’s dry before reinserting).
2. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the Printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds: Give the printer some time to reset.
- Plug it back in and turn it on: After waiting a minute, plug the printer back in and turn it on again. This might help clear any temporary errors.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Download from HP Website: You can also visit the HP support website and manually download the latest firmware for your specific printer model. Click here
4. Check for Ink Cartridge Protection:
Some HP cartridges have a protective tape or plastic cover that you need to remove before installing the cartridge
5. Try a Different Cartridge (if available)
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
