@DJRS-1976, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 3755 is showing a low ink warning even after installing new cartridges, and you've already tried unplugging, reinstalling, and cleaning. Let's go through a few deeper steps to help resolve this:

Confirm Cartridge Authenticity

Make sure the cartridges are genuine HP and compatible with your printer:

Clean Cartridge Contacts Manually

Sometimes ink residue or debris can cause misreading.

Steps:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Open the cartridge access door.
  3. Remove the cartridges.
  4. Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.
  5. Let dry for 5 minutes, reinstall cartridges, and power on.

Reset the Printer

A full reset can clear internal memory errors.

Steps:

  1. With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  2. Unplug from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait 60 seconds.
  4. Plug back into wall first, then into printer.
  5. Turn on and check ink status.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause cartridge detection issues.

I hope your issue is now resolved. If not, feel free to reply and we’ll continue helping until everything’s sorted!
