I just replaced the ink cartridges in my desk jet 3755.  The printer quality is now terrible.  I ran it through 2 cleanings and 2 alignments and it’s still terrible.  I printed out a quality report and I can’t even see items # 2 and 3 in the report.

Hi @NeedHelp72,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you've replaced the ink cartridges in your HP DeskJet 3755 printer and are experiencing poor print quality despite running multiple cleanings and alignments, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Check for Low Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the new cartridges are not low on ink. You might have replaced them with non-genuine or defective cartridges. Always use genuine HP cartridges for optimal performance.

Remove Protective Tape:

  • Verify that the protective plastic tape on the new cartridges has been removed.
  • Sometimes the tape can block the ink flow, causing poor print quality.

Inspect the Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge area and ensure the cartridges are properly seated.
  • Remove them and reinsert them securely.

Check the Printer Settings:

  • Make sure you are using the correct printer settings by selecting a higher print quality option in the print dialog settings on your computer.

Run Additional Cleaning:

  • Sometimes more intensive cleaning is required, which may need to be manually initiated through the printer's control panel or software. If available on your model, try an advanced cleaning cycle.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can reset the printer and may resolve some print quality issues.

Inspect the Print Job:

  • Ensure that the paper used is suitable for inkjet printing, as unsuitable paper can cause smudging or poor ink adhesion.

Leave the Printer Overnight:

  • Sometimes air or pigment issues need time to settle. Leave the printer idle overnight to potentially resolve these issues.

Take care and have an amazing day!
