Hi @DebSimpki1,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to open the scanner lid on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:

Locate the Scanner Lid: The scanner lid is the flat top part of the printer where you place documents for scanning or copying.

Identify the Lift Area: Look for the up arrow icon on the front edge of the scanner lid. This indicates the area where you can lift the lid.

Lift the Scanner Lid:

  • Place your hand on the front edge of the scanner lid, where the up arrow is located.
  • Gently lift the lid from this front edge. You may need to apply a bit of upward pressure to get it to release.

Open Fully: Once it starts to lift, continue to open the lid fully so you can access the scanner glass underneath.

If the lid feels stuck or won’t open with a gentle lift, ensure that there isn’t any debris or obstruction preventing it from moving. Also, avoid forcing the lid open to prevent damage to the hinges or the scanner mechanism.

If the lid still won’t open after these steps, you may want to check the hinges for any visible issues or consult the printer's user manual for further guidance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
