Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus which I have owned and used faithfully for many years.  I have installed new ink cartridges several times over the years.  Two days ago I installed new cartridges but received message "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" Turned off and back on. Nothing changed.  I purchased new set of cartridges and installed them because it seemed that the Magenta was not being detected.  Still nothing.  Same message.  Managed to find out that it could be the printhead!  Purchased new printhead from Amazon. it arrived yesterday. I installed it today but the cartridges would not stay in the printhead.  I finally got them to stay in the printhead but am now getting the message "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed".  I have turned this thing off and on, unplugged and plugged it back in. Removed the Printhead and reinstalled it twice and still it is not working.  Any help would be appreciated.  Regards, DianeR3
