Printhead problem - Relatively new OfficeJet 7510 Wide - only used a few times.  The printer is out of warranty, but only used a few times since it is a second printer used only for extra wide print jobs.  Upon replacing the HP ink cartridges, the printer would not align and indicated "bad" printhead.  I have attempted the different steps recommended on the HP Community and HP troubleshooting to no avail. The OfficeJet 7500 Wide has a replaceable printhead, but not the 7510.  I would hate to trash a relatively new printer, just because I cannot buy a printhead, which is easy to replace.  I just paid over $100.00 for new ink cartridges, but now I am unable to use my printer.  Any ideas? Have I wasted $100 and still need to buy another printer?

Thank you!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

If you insert your old ink, do you still get the error message?

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_2073929-1413451-16

Good morning Betty0610,

The old ink is too low and the printer notification requires a new ink cartridge, before moving forward.  I replaced the ink color, but after replacement,  (I followed the procedure for replacements) the printer notification required to replace another color, but the level indicator indicated the level was halfway.  That happened every time I replaced all the ink cartridges with new ones until the last one. After the last one, the printer indicated there was a problem with the ink head.

I checked for a firmware update and it was already installed.

Thank you!
