I am trying to print invitations on 5x7 cardstock, but when the pdf prints, it is cutting off the bottom part of the image & also including margins when I don't want margins included. I need help adjusting the settings.

Hi @hawk1995,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Printing invitations on 5x7 cardstock without cutting off the bottom part of the image and without margins can be achieved by adjusting a few settings in your PDF viewer and printer setup. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:
Adjusting PDF Viewer Settings
- Open the PDF in a PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Select Print by going to File > Print or pressing Ctrl + P (Cmd + P on Mac).
- Page Sizing & Handling:
- Choose "Actual Size" to ensure that the PDF prints at the correct size without scaling.
- Alternatively, select "Fit" or "Custom Scale" at 100% to ensure no scaling occurs.
- Paper Size:
- Ensure that the paper size is set to 5x7 inches. You can do this by selecting "Page Setup" and choosing the custom size option if 5x7 is not listed.
- Margins:
- Check for an option to set margins to 0. Some PDF viewers have a "Borderless" or "Edge to Edge" option.
Printer Settings
- Printer Properties:
- After clicking Print, go to "Printer Properties" or "Preferences".
- Paper Size:
- Select 5x7 inches (sometimes listed as 127x178mm) as the paper size.
- If this option is not available, you may need to create a custom paper size.
- Borderless Printing:
- If your printer supports borderless printing, make sure this option is enabled. Look for a setting like "Borderless Printing" or "Edge to Edge Printing".
- Print Quality:
- Ensure the print quality is set to high to avoid any cropping issues due to printer limitations.
- Orientation:
- Make sure the orientation matches your design (portrait or landscape).
Troubleshooting Tips
- Update Printer Drivers: Ensure your printer drivers are up-to-date.
- Test Print: Before printing all your invitations, do a test print on plain paper to check for any issues.
- Adjust Image Position: If parts of the image are still getting cut off, you may need to adjust the position of the image within the PDF using a program like Adobe Acrobat or another PDF editor.
- Printer Calibration: Sometimes, printers need to be calibrated for precise printing on custom sizes.
Example Settings for Adobe Acrobat Reader:
- Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the Print dialog box:
- Select your printer.
- Set "Page Size & Handling" to "Actual Size".
- Check the "Choose paper source by PDF page size" box if available.
- Click on "Properties" or "Preferences" next to your printer's name.
- Set the paper size to 5x7.
- Enable borderless printing if available.
- Click OK and then Print.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
