Hello, I bought this printer on 22 Feb 2024. However, we have this kind of problem like few times, mini ghost after printing the paper. I googled and cleaned as they teach in the video. Unfortunately, the mini ghost is still there. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

Hi @LestariH2GaaS,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing ghosting issues with your HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem.

Check Toner Cartridges: Make sure that the toner cartridges are installed correctly and are not low on toner. If they are old or low, consider replacing them.

Clean the Printer: You've already cleaned the printer, but make sure to:

  • Clean the imaging drum (if applicable) and remove any toner buildup.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the corona wire on the drum.

Paper Quality: Ensure that you are using the right type of paper for your printer. Poor-quality or incompatible paper can cause printing issues.

Print Settings: Check your print settings to ensure they are configured correctly. Try using a different quality setting to see if that improves the output.

Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updates can resolve printing issues.

Print a Configuration Page: This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or the specific print job. If the configuration page prints fine, the problem may lie with the documents you’re trying to print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
