Printing Scans

I have a LaserJet 281Mfdw printer.  I'm having vertical lines appear when I print a scanned document.  I do not have a similar problem when I copy a document or print directly from the desktop.  Any ideas of how to eliminate the vertical lines when I scan and then print?
