Hi @Claire1243,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 6000e printer is printing only blank pages. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check ink cartridge status
Open the printer software or printer display and confirm all cartridges show as installed and ready.
If any cartridge shows empty, missing, or incompatible, printing can result in blank pages.

Remove protective tape from cartridges
Open the cartridge access door and remove all cartridges.
Make sure all orange or clear protective tapes have been completely removed from each cartridge.

Reseat all ink cartridges
Remove all cartridges and reinstall them one by one until they click firmly into place.
Close the access door and allow the printer to initialize fully.

Run a print quality diagnostic page
Print a diagnostic or test page directly from the printer control panel.
This helps confirm whether ink is being released from any color.

Perform one printhead cleaning cycle
Run the cleaning or “Clean Printhead” option from the printer menu or HP Smart app.
Wait 10–15 minutes after cleaning before printing again.

Power reset the printer
With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Wait 60 seconds, then plug it directly into a wall outlet and turn the printer back on.

Confirm the correct paper type is loaded
Make sure plain paper is loaded and selected in the print settings.
Incorrect media settings can sometimes result in very faint or blank output.

Check print preview and ink usage
Print a document with visible text or images and confirm it appears correctly in print preview.
This rules out application or document-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Kurol, I apppreciate your detailed list of steps to take to correct the priinting of blank pages.  I've been working with 3 other HP techs who tried to solve the problem, with no success.  Latest block to finding an answer, is trying to recall my password to gain entrance to my computer.  Tried some of the old ones I can recall, nothing has worked.  Still prints Information Report in black and white, but nothing from Google or PHotos.
