Hello, my printer is printing blank pages. I have tried everything the app suggests to clean it and align the ink cartridges but nothing is working. It does not print anything.

Hi @dmmemee2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When a printer is printing blank pages despite performing cleaning and alignment procedures, it can be quite frustrating. Here’s a comprehensive guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue for your printer:
1. Verify Ink Levels and Cartridge Installation
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are not empty. Even if they appear to be fine, try replacing them with new cartridges to see if that resolves the issue.
Reinstall Cartridges:
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
- Remove each cartridge and reinstall them, ensuring they are securely and properly seated.
2. Check for Print Head Blockage
Clean Print Heads:
- If your printer has a print head cleaning function, run it again. Access this feature through the printer’s control panel or the printer software on your computer.
- Sometimes multiple cleaning cycles are required to clear blockages.
Manual Cleaning:
- If the automatic cleaning doesn’t work, you may need to clean the print heads manually:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges and carefully clean the print head with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.
- Allow everything to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges and turning the printer back on.
3. Perform Printer Maintenance
Align Cartridges:
- Run the alignment procedure again using the printer’s control panel or the printer software on your computer.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model to download and install the latest firmware updates.
4. Print a Test Page
- Print Test Page:
- Print a test page to see if the printer is producing any output:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Print Quality Report or Print Test Page.
- Print a test page to see if the printer is producing any output:
Check Printer Software and Drivers
Update Drivers:
- Ensure your printer drivers are up-to-date. Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
Reinstall Printer Software:
- Uninstall the existing printer software from your computer and then download and reinstall the latest version from the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
