Hi @Cameroon1

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details and for already cleaning the printhead—that’s a great step. If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 series is printing with a reddish tint, it usually means one or more color inks are not flowing correctly or the color balance is off. Let’s work through this together:

1. Check Ink Levels

  • On the printer control panel or in the HP App, verify that all cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) have sufficient ink.
  • Replace any cartridge that is low or empty.

2. Run Print Quality Diagnostic

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to SetupPrinter MaintenancePrint Quality Report.
  • This will show if any color is missing or misaligned.

3. Perform Printhead Cleaning Again

  • From the printer menu, select SetupPrinter MaintenanceClean Printhead.
  • If the issue persists, run Clean Printhead Level 2 for deeper cleaning.

4. Align Printhead

  • After cleaning, go to SetupPrinter MaintenanceAlign Printhead.
  • Print the alignment page and follow the instructions.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Outdated firmware can affect color calibration.
  • Download and install the latest firmware: HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

6. Check Paper Type Settings

  • Ensure the paper type in the print settings matches the actual paper loaded.
  • Incorrect settings can cause color distortion.
