Hi @KK1970,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2700e printer is not printing any ink on the page despite having installed ink cartridges and the paper feed working, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and identify the problem.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer software or the printer's control panel.
  • Remove Protective Tape: Sometimes, new ink cartridges come with protective tape or seals. Make sure that you have removed any protective tape or seals from the cartridges before installation.
  • Clean Printheads: Over time, printheads can become clogged with dried ink. Most printers, including the DeskJet 2700e, have a built-in utility for cleaning the printheads. Run a printhead cleaning cycle through your printer's control panel or software.
  • Alignment: Perform a printhead alignment through the printer's software or control panel. This ensures that the ink is properly aligned and should improve print quality.
  • Quality Settings: Check the print quality settings in your print job. Make sure you haven't accidentally set the quality too low, as this can result in a faint or missing print.
  • Paper Type: Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your print job. Using the wrong paper type can affect the printing quality.
  • Driver and Software Update: Check for any available driver or software updates for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's software can resolve printing issues.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages or blinking lights on the printer's control panel. These can provide clues about the problem.
  • Replace Cartridges: If the ink cartridges are old or have been sitting for a long time, they may have dried up. Try replacing the cartridges with new ones to see if that resolves the issue.

Remember to follow the printer's user manual and the instructions provided by HP for specific guidance on maintenance and troubleshooting for your DeskJet 2700e printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
