I have a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw and am trying to print on card stock for my wedding. Does anyone know the weight of card stock this printer can handle? The card stock I am using comes out splotchy. Or do I need to change the settings to get a more accurate print?

This laser printer supports a "lighter weight" card paper.
Cards | Up to 175 g/m2 | Up to 50 cards |
Note that in the true definition card paper is typically not the same thing as card stock.
Card Stock is generally used to describe heavier paper types.

note:The type of paper and the amount of ink you are using affects output tray capacity. HP recommends emptying the output tray frequently.
This limitation is about equivalent to Index card paper at 90lb.
Where to look for the paper weight >> Check the packaging the paper came in when you purchased it.
Many printers (maybe not laser type) support Index card paper at 200 gsm / 110 lb.
If you cannot print on this printer using your paper,
If your paper at least falls within the limitations generally shared by many InkJet printers,
Ask a friend for help (use their printer).
What else?
Set the print driver to the heaviest paper in the list of paper types and tray that on one card / test.
Merely a suggestion...
If you can do so, have the cards printed by a professional print service.
Less stress - one less thing to make you crazy before your special day!
Congratulations!!
So much more
"Index" is a type of paper - there are others, for example, "Text", "Cover" , "Bond"
What? "Paper Weight" is a larger subject than some imagine - if you need to know more, search for "paper weights" . Be ready; the amount of information is staggering and can appear complicated. To some extent - (not right now) paper weight and paper types are important to anyone who uses paper to print.
