Printing on painted paper

I would like to paint (using acrylic paints) on card stock  let the painting dry and then print text onto the card stock by loading the painted paper into my Officejet Pro. Am I able to do this or will I break my printer by putting painted paper through it? 

P.s I have printed onto this card stock before (without it being painted) and it has printed just fine.

That printer model doesn't support printing on cardstock, it can print on it but it's not supported. Only printing on cardstock will berak printer eventually.
