Office jet pro 7740

Can anyone tell me how to print on vellum with the office jet pro 7740? Every time I try to print it tells me the paper is the wrong size for the setting even though it’s set to A4 paper size and I’m using A4 size vellum sheets. I purchased this printer for all the things it’s supposed to do and it hardly does as any of them. So frustrating and a waste of money.

Hi,

Vellum paper is not a supported paper type according the printer specifications:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-one-printer-series/768...

You may try playing with the settings a bit and check if you may get better results, I suggest reviewing below information which provide some guidelines to try:

Also, consider the paper weight of your used paper, printers supports selected weight range and not any thickness...

keep in mind that Paper Settings should be changed both for the driver and the printer itself, whenever you close the paper tray you would see the Paper Settings prompt, there you may follow the steps and change the paper type settings.
