My Officejet 8610 was purchase more than 5 years ago. I have always used HP ink (via HP ink program). My wife has started making note cards using Avery note cards. These cards have a picture on them and very subtle small lines appear in the picture at the same location. Anyone know what might be causing this? Do the printheads need to be replaced? Any suggestions are welcomed. When running the diagnostic reports all look good.

@Harry_Towner, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

To assist you better, do you get these lines while printing on regular paper too?

  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that prints fine. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Clean the printhead and print a test page as shown in this document - Color or Black Ink is Not Printing

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
