Hi, I'm experiencing issues with the printing quality with the black ink. I've followed every instructions that can be found in the machine and printed, at least 5-6 pages of diagnostic quality information and they all show the same results. Every black line on a printed page is barely legible. I have, as instructed, run a "Print Quality Diagnostic", I've run every "cleaning"-option  and the Black "color" block is still streaked with horizontal parts missing. I've cleaned and looked at the cartridge and it looks perfectly fine.

I'm speculating that the ink cartridge has gone bad for some unknown reason - the Cyan Magenta and Yellow all works well though.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that the black ink cartridge is not printing, and I am glad to assist you.

Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles

Gather the following materials:

A clean, lint-free cloth or a clean, dry cotton swab

Distilled or bottled water

  CAUTION:

Do not use tap water because it might contain contaminants that can damage the printhead.

Open the ink cartridge access door.
