I cannot get this printer to print correctly. It is not printing clearly (skipping lines) making the document unreadable streaky. I have followed all of the cleaning, updating and other maintenance suggestions but have been unable to resolve the issue. I am using MacOS 13. 4 Ventura which isn't even an option so maybe that's the issue?
This is the absolute worse product I have ever used. To print something usually takes at least 20 minutes because there is an issue every time I print. This is the first issue I have not been able to resolve and quite honestly I'm ready to move on to another brand and product.

Hi @lcaprios,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e printer. Print quality problems like skipping lines and streaky output can be frustrating, but there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions.
- Check ink or toner levels: Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges have sufficient ink or toner. If the levels are low, replace or refill the cartridges.
- Clean the printhead: Print quality issues can be caused by a clogged printhead. Most printers have a built-in cleaning utility that you can access through the printer software or control panel. Run the printhead cleaning cycle to remove any blockages.
- Align the printhead: Misaligned printheads can cause printing problems. Use the printer's alignment utility to realign the printhead. This process varies depending on the printer model, so consult the printer's user manual or the manufacturer's website for specific instructions.
- Adjust print settings: Make sure you have selected the appropriate print settings for your document. Check that the print quality settings are set to a higher resolution or best quality for better output. This option is usually available in the print dialog box when you send a print command.
- Use the correct paper type: Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your print job. Different paper types require different print settings. Verify that the paper is properly loaded in the printer and that it's compatible with the printer specifications.
- Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install the updated drivers on your computer and check if it resolves the problem.
- Perform a firmware update: Some printers have firmware updates available that can address performance and print quality issues. Visit the HP website, locate the support section for your printer model, and check if there are any firmware updates available. Follow the provided instructions to update the firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
