Hello, so I have more than half of the black ink left and almost full of the colored ink left but all of my prints come out striped, so half of everything I print is missing. I tried to calibrate the printer through printer settings in the HP-smart app but when I do that the app claims I have no paper in the printer, even though I most sertainly do have paper in it. I did however manage to "clean printer head" and "clean smudged ink" in printer settings through the HP-smart app but that did not help my issue with striped prints. Help!

Hello, the stripes were horizontal. The problem disappeared when I exchanged the black ink cartridge with a new one. A bit annoying though since the first cartridge was half full. But at least the problem is fixed for now! Shall see if it reappears when this one is half full.

@LuckySushi, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. Are they horizontal stripes or vertical?

Insert one ink cartridge at a time and try printing to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Poor Print Quality

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that prints fine. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@LuckySushi

Glad to know that the issue is resolved after replacing the ink cartridge. It could be a defective ink cartridge. You may reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Hi Kumar0307,

I have some of the same problems and would like to try out the suggested "Fixing Poor Print Quality" programme. But it seems that you need to have Windows or OS X for it to work. I have a Chromebook - what are my options then?

Thanks a lot.

@HK85, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you using HP DeskJet 3762?

We do not have printer software to work on Chrome OS. You will have to perform the troubleshooting steps from a MAC, Win PC or a Phone.

You may use the HP Smart app to perform these steps.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thanks a lot. And, yes it is.

I have downloaded the HP Smart app but I dont see it gives me the options to do cleaning steps or alike. The app just seems to allow me to print, scan etc?

@HK85

On which device have you installed the HP Smart app?

Tap on the printer icon on the app > Scroll down to Tools > Print quality tools

Let me know how it goes.
