HP LaserJet MFP M141w Printer

Yesterday my printer worked fine. Today it prints only blank pages although at first it would print only the first line or two--now nothing. Toner is not the problem. If I make a copy, it looks fine. I have tried every possible diagnostic and wizard and repair app I could find in the HP site, but as usual, they are all useless. Some don't even complete. They just hang after several minutes, with the circular arrow just going around forever. And even though this is a printer that uses toner cartridges, much of the advice I see tells me to check the ink cartridges and how to clean then. HP doesn't even know what it's own printers use? I tried to use the HP Smart app, and one of the choices is Finish Printer Setup. Since I've been using the printer without any problem (until today) for almost a year, how can it still need to finish set up? But I chose that hoping it might reinstall something corrupted or missing, but like everything else, HP Smart is useless. The arrow just spins around forever. I ran it again 20 minutes ago, and it's still spinning. I'm sure it will still be spinning in the morning. I also ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor, and it's as useless as everything else. It tells me there is nothing wrong and askes me if I want to print a test page. When I do that, I get a message that there's an error, and nothing prints (not even a blank sheet). I have to go into See What's Printing to cancel it. I am TOTALLY disgusted by how horrible HP printers are and how horrible the HP website it. Can anyone help me?
