When I print anything, it comes as faded on the right side of paper. It doesn't matter if I print in color or black and white.

Any suggestions

Hi @sergef1973,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your prints are coming out faded on the right side of the paper, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Troubleshooting Steps

Check Ink or Toner Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges are not low or empty. Replace any low cartridges.

Run Printhead Cleaning:

  • Use the printer's maintenance option to run a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogs that may be causing the fading.

Check Paper Quality:

  • Ensure you’re using the correct type of paper for your printer. Heavy or textured paper can sometimes cause issues.

Adjust Print Settings:

  • In the print settings on your computer, check if you can adjust the print quality to a higher setting.

Inspect the Printer Rollers:

  • Check for any dust or debris on the printer rollers that might affect the paper feeding. Clean them if necessary.

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page or an alignment page to see if the issue persists across different types of documents.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP website to download the latest version.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no small paper jams or bits of paper stuck in the printer that could be affecting the print quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
