Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Envy 4522 All in One printer has developed a printing problem, it will not print properly in black and will typically produce blank pages. The problem manifested after 19 June 2022 when an update to Windows 10 was automatically installed on my laptop. these are the details:

2022-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5014666)

June 14, 2022—KB5014699 (OS Builds 19042.1766, 19043.1766, and 19044.1766).

I have tried cleaning the printer heads, replacing the black cartridge, and searching for new driver software. Everything is up to date and the printer reports no problems, however the printer will not print in black, I have concluded that the problem is something to do with the operating system update.

yes, this has been confirmed by Microsoft that the update KB5014666 causes printer problems when these printers are connected to any USB port

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-10-21h2#2869msgdesc

however, Microsoft says that the problem has been fixed by installing the KB5016616 update released Tuesday August 9
