Hi @Tigger652,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're encountering an error message on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer despite replacing all the cartridges with new ones, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware. Visit the official HP website, go to the support section, and search for your printer model to find and download the latest firmware updates.
Reinstall the Cartridges:
- Turn off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
- Remove all the cartridges.
- Close the cartridge access door and turn on the printer.
- Wait for the printer to prompt you to insert the cartridges.
- Reinstall the cartridges one by one as instructed.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges.
- Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the cartridge slots with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the power source.
- Wait for about 2-3 minutes.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the power source.
- Turn on the printer.
Check for Ink System Failure:
- If the issue persists, there might be a more significant problem with the ink system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
