Hi @dhrabchak,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Envy 7645 is only printing in red even though test prints are fine and Print Doctor shows no issues. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this:
Check ink levels and cartridges
Make sure all cartridges (black, cyan, yellow, magenta) are installed correctly and have ink.
Even if test prints are fine, a low or misaligned cartridge can cause color issues.
Remove and reseat cartridges
Take out all cartridges and reinstall them.
Ensure each clicks into place properly and the protective tape has been removed from new cartridges.
Check print settings
On your computer, go to Print Preferences and verify the color settings.
Make sure it is set to Color and not Red Only or a custom color profile.
Run a printhead cleaning
From the printer menu, select Tools → Clean Printhead.
Repeat once or twice if necessary to clear any blocked nozzles.
Print a diagnostic page
Print a Printer Status or Color Test Page directly from the printer.
Check if all colors are appearing. If only red prints, the cyan, yellow, or black printheads may be clogged.
Update printer firmware
Use the HP Smart app or printer menu to check for updates.
Firmware updates can resolve color output or driver-related issues.
Try a different document or device
Sometimes driver or file-specific issues cause unusual color printing.
Print from another application or device to rule this out.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
