Hello!

For some weeks, when I print pages that contains the colors blue and the ones which use the blue ink (ex. green and purple), the color on the page is smudget or absent in some points. I tried everything: remove and put back the cartridge, replace the cartridge, clean the printer and printerheads from the app installed on my PC, but the problem still persists. Did somebody have the same problem and solved it? If yes, how did you solve the problem?

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but it's not my first language, and thank you in advance.

Printhead Cleaning:

  • Perform a printhead cleaning cycle through the printer software or directly via the printer’s control panel. Sometimes multiple cleaning cycles are needed to resolve clogs.

Printhead Alignment:

  • Align the printheads to ensure that they are correctly oriented and functioning optimally. This can usually be done via the printer’s control panel or through the printer software.

Visual Inspection:

  • Open the cartridge access area and visually inspect for any debris or issues with the cartridge and printhead contact points. Clean these areas gently with a lint-free cloth.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer model on the HP Support website. Firmware updates often resolve printing issues and improve printer performance.

Test with Different Paper Types:

  • Try using a different type of paper or a new batch of the same paper to rule out paper-related issues.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

  • Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool for more in-depth troubleshooting. This tool can help diagnose and resolve common printer issues.
