OfficeJet Pro 9018

I just spent a lot of money for a genuine HP 962XL for the installation to fail. Supply system fail on a brand new , out of the box ink. “There is a problem with the Supply system. Try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non-empty, cartridge. If message trappers again, record message and contact support.” This is so frustrating!

Hi@HH2022, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that the new cartridge is showing empty.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Is it a genuine HP ink cartridge?

clean the electrical contacts of the ink cartridge?

clean from the software/automated tool if it has a front panel?

Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Open the ink cartridge access door.

The carriage moves to the center of the printer.
