I have an HP Officejet Pro 6830. I use original HP 935 cartridges purchased in my country, Spain.
The black cartridge works, but the three color cartridges are not recognized at the same time.
The error appears on the printer screen.
I have not updated the firmware recently.

Thank you for sharing the details so far. I can sense how frustrating it must be to see the black cartridge working fine while the color ones fail together. Before we move into any corrective steps, it’s important to isolate the situation carefully.

 

To understand this better, could you clarify a few points for me:
 

  • Are all three color cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow) from the same lot or package, and do they carry the same cartridge number (HP 935 or HP 935XL)?
  • When you insert them individually, does the printer recognize any one of them, or does the error appear as soon as more than one color cartridge is installed?
  • Have these cartridges been stored sealed until now, and are they within their expiry date?
  • Does the printer display a specific error code or message alongside the “not recognized” alert, or is it just a general cartridge error?
  • Have you previously used HP 935 cartridges from Spain in this printer without issue, or is this the first time with this batch?

Once we have these details, we’ll be able to pinpoint whether the issue is linked to the cartridges themselves, the printer’s recognition system, or a combination of both.
