Hi @Ahmed2875 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error message "Problem with the printer or ink system" on your HP Officejet 6600 usually indicates an issue with the ink cartridges, printhead, or the printer's internal system. Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Check if the error persists.
2. Check the Ink Cartridges
- Inspect the Cartridges:
- Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
- Check for physical damage, leaks, or worn-out contacts.
- Clean the Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
- Reinsert the cartridges and ensure they are properly seated.
3. Clean the Printhead
- If the printer allows, use the "Clean Printhead" option from the printer’s control panel.
- If manual cleaning is required:
- Remove the printhead (refer to the printer's manual for detailed instructions).
- Clean the printhead contacts with a damp lint-free cloth.
- Let it dry completely before reinserting.
4. Update or Reset the Printer
- Firmware Update:
- Check for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or HP Support Assistant.
- Reset to Factory Settings:
- Refer to the user manual for steps to perform a factory reset.
- Note: This will remove saved settings and preferences.
5. Check for Blockages or Jams
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
- Inspect the area around the printhead and cartridges for any debris.
6. Try Different Cartridges
- Replace the cartridges with new, genuine HP cartridges.
- Non-HP or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause this error.
7. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to release residual charge.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
