I understand you're encountering a "supply system error" with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 printer, it typically indicates an issue with the ink or toner cartridges. 

 

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

 

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that all ink or toner cartridges are properly installed in their respective slots. Open the printer cover and verify that each cartridge is securely seated.
  • Replace Cartridges: If the cartridges are low on ink or toner, or if they are damaged or expired, replace them with new, genuine HP cartridges. Using third-party cartridges or refilled cartridges might cause compatibility issues.
  • Clean Contacts: Sometimes, the metal contacts on the cartridges or in the printer might get dirty, leading to communication errors. Gently clean the contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the back, and wait for about 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. This action will reset the printer and might clear the error message.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for updates through the printer's control panel menu or by visiting the HP support website and searching for your printer model.Update the firmware on an HP printer
