Hi. I have been using asda ink cartridges for a few months, but now the printer keeps telling me to take them out and put back in, and to replace them if that doesn't work. There is plenty of ink left in them. Any help much appreciated, trying to print out work for home schooling!

@Mab209, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
What do you mean by 'asda' ink cartridges?
Which of the ink cartridge is indicated in the error?
You may insert one ink cartridge at a time and check for the defective ink cartridge.
Perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi thanks for the reply.
By asda ink cartridges I mean ones remanufactured by Asda (not HP), and it is the xl black cartridge that is causing the problem.
I have tried following the instructions you sent a link to, but this hasn't helped at all, the printer immediately gives the same errors regarding the cartridge again.
I did manage to print off a couple of sheets this morning when I first switched it on, but then came up with same messages again. The colour cartridge is the same brand and I haven't had any problems with it.
Is it likely to be a problem with the cartridge or the printer?
Many thanks

If you are using non-HP ink cartridges, HP cannot guarantee its functionality. It may or may not work. If you have tried the steps and the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
