Hello,

I just tried filling the ink in my HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w printer and the cartridge is now stuck! and won't come out.  Can you please offer some suggestions how to fix this?

Thank you!

Hi @Pavao6,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the cartridge might have become misaligned or jammed during the refill process. Here are some suggestions to fix this issue.

  • Turn off the printer: Power it off and unplug it from the wall. Wait a few minutes to allow any internal components to settle.
  • Check for any visible obstructions: Open the printer’s access door and carefully inspect the area around the toner cartridge. Look for any paper debris or ink that may have spilled during the refill.
  • Gently try to remove the cartridge: Try wiggling the cartridge gently side to side while pulling it out. If it doesn't come out immediately, don’t force it as it could damage the printer or cartridge.
  • Release the latch (if applicable): Some models have a latch or locking mechanism to secure the cartridge in place. Check the user manual to see if your printer has a mechanism like this, and make sure it’s fully released before trying again.
  • Look for any tabs or locks that could be in the way: There may be a protective tab or locking clip still in place that’s preventing the cartridge from being removed. Ensure these are fully removed before proceeding.
  • Use a soft tool for leverage: If the cartridge is stuck due to tightness or friction, use a non-abrasive tool (like a plastic card or a rubber grip) to help you gently nudge the cartridge out.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
