I just recently purchased new ink cartridges. Every time I print a photo and/or picture it’s coming out with yellow tones. What is going on?

Hi @G2g123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there could be a couple of issues causing the yellow tone in your prints after installing new ink cartridges. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check the Ink Cartridges: Make sure you've installed the correct ink cartridges for your printer model and that they are securely seated in their respective slots. Sometimes improper installation can lead to printing issues.
  • Printer Settings: Check your printer settings to ensure they are configured correctly. Sometimes, settings like color balance or print quality can affect the output color.
  • Printer Calibration: Run a printer calibration or alignment process. This can help ensure that the printer is properly calibrated to produce accurate colors.
  • Clean the Print Head: Ink residue or debris may have accumulated on the print head, causing color inaccuracies. Most printers have a built-in utility for cleaning the print head. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform this task.
  • Check the Printing Software: If you're printing from a computer, make sure the software you're using to print doesn't have any color adjustments or filters applied that could be causing the yellow tint.
  • Test with Different Paper: Sometimes the type or quality of paper can affect print color. Try printing on a different type of paper to see if the issue persists.
  • Replace the Ink Cartridges: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the new ink cartridges are faulty or incompatible with your printer. Try replacing them with a different set of cartridges to see if that resolves the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
