I have an HP8600 all in one printer that started printing random Cyan blotches and lines on my printed paper and photo paper. Also everything color is printing with a Cyan hue. Printing in black and white still has horizontal and wavy blue lines. I reset printer by unplugging from power source even left unplugged overnight. I cleaned and aligned the printer heads though report didn't indicate an issue. Love my printer and wondering if a new print head kit would solve issue or something else I can try.

@AnetKir, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Thanks for sharing all those details and the nozzle check page — very helpful! 😊
Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Remove the cartridges.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in.
- Wai for few minutes and then insert the cartridges (let printer prompt for cartridges)
- Turn on the printer
Deep Clean:
Run 2-3 rounds of cleaning, even if the first doesn't help.
Sometimes trapped air bubbles need several cycles to clear out.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
Manual printhead cleaning:
Remove the printhead carefully.
Gently clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth and warm distilled water (NOT tap water).
Gently blot dry with lint-free cloth or paper towel.
Reinstall, do a clean cycle again.
(This is risky but worth trying).
