I have an HP3637 deskjet printer.
Last week I replaced the colour cartridge with another HP 302 colour cartridge (XL) without issue
Today, I tried to replace the black cartridge with an HP 302 black cartridge, this was only normal size. The printer is not recognising any cartridge now!
I thought it may be because one was XL and the other normal sized (although I am sure that hasn't been an issue in the past) so tried replacing the colour cartridge with a normal sized 302. No joy.
When I put the old black cartridge in, both cartridges were recognised, although the black had no ink.
I have tried leaving it unplugged for a period and starting again.
I am at a total loss!

Apologies Sandy, I had a close family member pass away & so life has been thrown out of kilter some what!
I ended up taking the cartridge back to the supermarket where I bought it (as a legitimate HP cartridge). Due to recycling my cartridges I had the old one so they could feel the difference in the weight of them, it wasn't simply empty! The customer services team exchanged it for me and the printer is working again.
