I bought the MFP M140w earlier this year and had a problem from the start. Since I did not due my homework first, I did not realize the printer needed access to the internet to print. So, signed up for monthly subscription in the toner program. HP sent me a toner cartridge to replace the one that came with the printer (for when it ran out). I cancelled the trial subscription before the free 6 months was up. Then the original toner cartridge ran out. Never had a problem printing all that time, until I put in the new cartridge. Nothing I did would convince the printer to print. Then I was told by HP Support that the cartridge would not work because I cancelled the subscription. ??? I then bought a HP 141A cartridge directly from HP, installed it and now it does work either. Spent about 3 hours on HP Support this morning trying to move forward. Still does not work. Why must the printer have Internet access to print a document when it sits on my desk in arm's reach. HP Support tells me that there is a cartridge issue. If it is indeed defective, what is the proper cartridge to use? Why must I use wireless when there's a USB port?
