@Florida_Mark, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Ah, that frustrating moment when you pop in new cartridges and the printer just stares back at you with a warning! Let’s try to get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e humming again.

Here’s what you can do:

Power cycle the printer – Turn it off, unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes the printer just needs a short “nap” to reset.

Check cartridge installation – Open the cartridge access door and remove each cartridge. Reinstall them, ensuring they click firmly into place. A loose cartridge can trigger the supply system error.

Clean the contacts – Using a lint-free cloth, gently wipe the gold contacts on the cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer. Dirt or residue can block communication.

Verify cartridge compatibility – Make sure the cartridges are genuine HP 901 cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges can sometimes trigger supply errors.

Update firmware – Go to HP Smart app → Printer Settings → Printer Updates. An outdated firmware can sometimes misread cartridges.

Try one cartridge at a time – Remove all cartridges except one and see if the printer recognizes it. Repeat for each cartridge. This helps identify if a single cartridge is causing the problem.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
